How to find a 360 Virtual Tour on Google

If you’re not familiar with Google Virtual Tours, you probably don’t know how to find them when viewing a business’s listing on Google Search or Google Maps. Here are a few easy steps to help you find a 360 Virtual Tour:

Step 1

When searching for a business on Google you might search for the business by name “Directly” or you may “Discover” a business by using certain keywords like “Conference Center “.

By searching for a business directly,  you are more likely to see that business’s “Google My Business Listing”.

If you do not see a business listing similar to the one used in the example, then that business might not have a business listing set-up. To be sure, you should use a more specific search criteria when looking for this business online for example: “Conference center midrand” or simply search for that business by name “The Canvas Riversands Midrand”.

Step 2

So does this business have a 360 Google Virtual Tour?

Lets find out!

When you view a business listing you almost always see 2 or 3 Images at the top of the business’s profile.

The 1st Image is usually a photograph, the 2nd is a map and the 3rd (if available) is the 360 Imagery from Google Street-View.

In this example we do see the 3rd Image because the business is visible from the street and Google Street-view recently captured the area. Separately Google trusted companies like our’s will photograph the businesses inside the malls and other buildings to connect them with Google Street-View.

Now click on the Thumbnail with the description that says “See Photos”.

You should now see multiple photographs appear on the left side of the listing’s profile. Notice the different categories at the top of the image carousel?

If they do have a 360 Virtual Tour then you will be able to find the category called “360 view”.

If they don’t then this category won’t be there.

Sometimes a business can have more than 3 category’s. In that case you should click on the last visible one and the next few should appear including “360 View”  – if they have one.
