How to find a 360 Virtual Tour on Google Maps

If you’re not familiar with Google Virtual Tours, you probably don’t know how to find them when viewing a business’s listing on Google Search or Google Maps. Here are a few easy steps to help you find a 360 Virtual Tour on Google Maps:

Step 1

We’ve already discussed how you would find a business’s listing on Google Search (You would either search for the business by name or you may “Discover” a business by using certain keywords). Today we’re going to show you how you can find a Virtual Tour using Google Maps. 

By searching for a business directly on Google Search,  you’ll see that business’s Google My Business Listing on the right side of the page.

You can go to Google Maps by clicking on the Maps thumbnail/photo within the business’s listing profile.

Step 1

You can go to Google Maps by clicking on the Maps thumbnail/photo within the business’s listing profile.

Step 2

Clicking on the Maps thumbnail/photo within Google Search will automatically take you to the business’s profile on Google Maps.

When you view any business on Google Maps the listing for the profile will appear on the left side of the page.

You’ll see all the info you normally would see on a Google Search Listing the only difference will be how the information is displayed.

Step 3

Scroll down until you see multiple thumbnails appear on the listing’s profile. Notice the circular ⊂› arrow within the thumbnails on the bottom left corner of the image displayed? 

If you click on the first thumbnail it will take you directly into the 360 Virtual Tour (If the business has one).

If you click on the second thumbnail it will take you directly into Google’s 360 Street-View Imagery (If available).

Step 3

Scroll down until you see multiple thumbnails appear on the listing’s profile. Notice the circular ⊂› arrow within the thumbnails on the bottom left corner of the image displayed? 

If you click on the first thumbnail it will take you directly into the 360 Virtual Tour (If the business has one).

If you click on the second thumbnail it will take you directly into Google’s 360 Street-View Imagery (If available).

Step 4

The business listing profile will also be replaced with an Image carousel containing all the images taken buy customers and the business owner. 

You can scroll down to find different 360 Virtual Tour starting points. (All the thumbnails containing the circular arrow) & you can close the carousel by clicking on the grey arrow in the top right corner for a full screen view of the 360 Virtual Tour.

Viewing any 360 Virtual Tour on Google Maps also allows you to easily share & embed the virtual tour on your website & Facebook page.

You can view the profile of the Google trusted agency who conducted the 360 Virtual Tour for the business by clicking on their logo or company name displayed in the top left corner of the window.
